The media has hyped them up for 3 straight offseasons since KD left and they have underperformed big time, all while having at worst the 3rd most talent in the WCF in each of those years.

First season they have Russ, Vic, kanter, Adams, Sabonis, Abrines, Roberson, grant.

That’s a stacked team bounced in the 1st round by a team in Houston with not nearly as much talent but a better coach and better mvp.

Last year they had that same team plus PG13, Patterson and melo sub out Vic and sabonis. That should be an upgrade it turned out to not be.

This year they lose melo gain a pg who can’t shoot.

I don’t see how they got better. Not do I see the hype.

All be shocked if their not the same 45-48 win team fighting for the5-8 seed like every year.

The reason why FAs are so eager to sign early is because they might be missing out on money if they don't sign. Melo is already getting near max from Atlanta. It's precisely because he's signing for the f***ing minimum that he dgaf about signing.

Melo creating a rift between Paul and the team would be the worst case scenario. I don't think it is likely, but it is possible. The fact that CP3 is signed for a big contract beyond his prime years pretty much means that the management is handing the key of the team to him. If something ugly happens, I don't know if you can even trade him with that 160M contract.
