Is now a good time for him to come over? How would it work under our cap?

Don't think Serge will come to Houston.

He's a big deal over there, plus he's getting the money and the ladies! Unless of course he wants to prove himself but I think he is content.

I would like to see the Rockets bring in an "Irrational Confidence" guy to training camp and play that 6th man scoring guard type of role, but Llull comes at WAAAYYY to high a price tag.

Llull and Real Madrid will be asking for an arm and a leg to break his contract with them to come over, his salary would most likely be higher than most FIRST ROUND picks, and there is no guarantee that he would even make the final cut of the 15 man rotation with as many quality rotation players the Rockets will have in training camp.

Next year though, I expect Llull and the Rockets to work something out. Llull simply wont find a better situation to come over to from Europe even if its for a 6th man type of role.

I'm wondering if Morey is going to go after him....especially if we move Lin out for essentially cap space. That would be a good sum of money we could give him with a bonus up front on his contract plus the buyout dollars. If we move Lin for very little incoming salary this could be in play.

Rosas said he has goals he hopes to accomplish overseas, but his dream is to play in the NBA. Hopefully it happens one day.

Maybe next year or the year after when Lin's contract expires, if we don't retain him. I am beginning to wonder if Llull's career trajectory will mirror that of Ginobili. If so then he'll probably come after he feels like he's accomplished enough internationally.

Sergio Llull?...Steven A Smith doesn't even know who Sergio Llull is. He obviously could never be a crucial part of putting together a championship contender.

Probably because Real Madrid is sponsored by Adidas and he would have to wear his team's socks. Happens to soccer players all the time.

Translation: The Rockets want Sergio Llull this summer and have been calling. So far, he's not interested.

Yeah but guaranteed playing time on a title contender now. Only bad Rockets contract is Lin so moving him for basically nothing with Llull coming would be ideal.
