You know he will give it a go; I doubt he will be as effective. If he is, his presence could turn the series around. "Could." I still say SA will win it. They are just the better "team."

dumb move by the Thunder IMO - Ibaka wont be 100% and he may give them a emotional lift for game 3 but he wont help them win this series at all. Its one thing if its the NBA Finals or a game 7 but this is game 3 of the WCF when your team is down 2-0.

there wasnt much said of his injury other than it was a calf injury to go from being out of the playoffs to going to play in game 3 in like 10 days -- i mean the out for the playoffs sounds like it could be anywhere from a grade 1 to a grade 2 strain. Considering Ibaka is going to need his leaping ability - this can do nothing but hurt him goign forward - granted even if he ruptures it and get surgery i guess he'll be fine before the start of next season -- maybe thats what he is thinking - he can go and play and if it gets worse surgery and get ready for next season -- thats basically what he is doing now anyway - getting ready for next season.

I like how the Thunder's main adjustment after that game 2 beatdown will be to risk the health of one of their star players.

When the smoke clears, I hope Scotty is canned

It'll be another emotional lift for the Thunder. That KD MVP speech did the same thing after they got spanked in Game 1.

I hope he remains. I don't think we can take them if they have a real coach.

Am I allowed to gloat lol
There's no danger in playing and nothing to prevent you from being able to jump 100% if you have a pure plantaris rupture. He may have torn part of his calf as well, I doubt it but its just my guess. Plantaris tear is really painful bc of all the nerve fibers, but once he's over the initial pain he should be fine. I guess we'll see how he does when he plays.
