Management has been trying to offload him for a year now. Hard to offload a player everyone in the league knows sucks, especially at that price point AND two more years left on the contract.

Where things went wrong was Morey's obsession with Anderson to begin with and then giving him that obscene contract. Hopefully now he has learned that you need fighters and bull dogs when you get into the postseason. You cant be giving these kind of $$ to mental midgets. Does he not have any data on mental toughness of players??

As for coaching staff, not sure what they could have done. Looks like they figured out very early in the season that this guy is a mental midget. So they stopped playing him.

Mike D'Antoni of all coaches is not playing a guy who is supposed to be a prolific 3 point shooter. That should tell you everything about Ryan Anderson.

I agree 100%. But if we only believe in 7 out of 15 guys on the roster, we might as well waive all the other guys.

way too much hindsight it doesn't make sense. They certainly weren't thinking about mental toughness in a deep playoff runs when they signed him. This was the first signing after a 41 win seas and Dwight left. I think Morey would have tanked if Alexander let him. Every free agent rejected us that off season and huge bloated contracts were given out due to anticipation to cap increase which didn't happen as dramatically.

They just picked up some scraps that can shoot threes to keep the team afloat and try to make the playoffs. I still remember people were ******** on Morey because signing Gordon and Ryno would win us too many games and keep us on the 8th seed treadmill, others thought we would be a lottery team because they predicted Gordon and Ryno were ball hogs cancers and would have season ending injuries.

It's not like Morey signed Ryno this off season, he signed him as a weird crap shoot to not tank, it just somehow worked, can't fault him for that.

Most playoff rotations are 8 men. And going from 8 to 7 makes a big difference. Starts taking a toll on the team physically. Going from 8 to 6 in playoff series of this intensity is just brutal.

Only way to get rid of him is to take back an equally garbage contract like Bismack Biyombo or Evan Turner

At this point we know exactly the kind of player we need to get to destroy the Warriors.

A tough perimeter defender that can switch on all screens and can shoot a high % from the three. Any support he can provide in terms of initiating offense is just gravy.

Stock up on a whole bunch of Tuckers and Ariza to play alongside JH/CP/EG. Turn it into a solid 8-9 man rotation with these kind of players and keep rotating until we tire out the Warriors with our defense without getting tired ourselves.

Paul George pretty much turns us into favourites, I think. Kawhi pretty much guarantees us a championship. But even if we cant land these elite players, like I said, 20M can get a solid one or two Tuckers/Arizas provided someone takes mercy on us and takes Anderson off of our hands.

Someone do us a favour, and we make an under the table deal to help them out in the future when their time comes.

Come on Popovich! I am looking at you! Do us a favor. Help us beat the Warriors that took your best player out! Work up that hate! Give us kawhi.

That's a tough sell - Lakers had to give up D'Angelo Russell just to dump Timofey Mosgov's contract. Other than some late Round first rounder in 2019, we don't have any similar assets.

I hate to give up Capela but looks like we will have to package Capela + Anderson to get ourselves those missing pieces.

Morey will have to seriously consider this since beating Warriors is the goal and Capeal is spectacular against most teams but not the Warriors.

Then we lose to Utah or Minnesota who have decent bigs next year. The only reason why we don't need Capela vs GSW is because all their big men are trash.

    No we dont.

We effectively become just as good or a better version of Warriors. Maybe not as prolific of a 3 point shooter, close enough, but even better defense.

Warriors have no problem beating those teams without a center.

You are the filthy one orgasming over Ryan Scruberson. Does he give you a portion of his 20M to toot his horn here in CF or what?

Dude sucks and is costing us this season we are 20M down to the enemy before the game even starts WTF.

How is this game not his fault? Sure he isn't on the court but if we actually had a 20M player out there then winning tue series wouldn't be so hard. This roster only has 3 playmakers because everyone else is signed to 7M and below deals as role players we are missing a star player on the team.

Because Alexander and Morey paid him, you would sign that contract too if you have gotten his skills. Or limited skills.

Got to provide well for fam.

The Anderson move is about to cost him a NBA TITLE. Trust me, Morey regrets it. Hell if you believe what you read, Morey can barely sit through a playoff game. So you know he must get sick to his stomach to each time the mental midget that is Ryan Anderson steps on the floor and flops around out there.
