That hardly is going to get him benched - two of those shots go in and it's 4-8 and 3-6 and everyone is ecstatic. MDA isn't the type to give up on players coming off an injury for a couple of bad games. More likely, he just doesn't fit in well when Utah has Gortat and we need a defensive presence in the paint. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 15 min against GS. He'll definitely get his chance and he knows it.
That post you quoted was from Jan 6, and Gortat isn't on the Jazz. The reason why he isn't playing in this series is because we need a versatile player at that spot. Lowe and Arnovitz talked about this for a while on their recent podcast. I won't guess as to whether he'll play against GSW or not, but if he didn't I wouldn't be surprised.
I have this vision that Ryno is going to have only one game this post-season where he shows flashes of his old self. But it's going to be GLORIOUS. He'll utterly shatter the opposition by draining ridiculous 3 after absurd 3 and score 25-30 points. Then he'll immediately go back to sucking in the next game.
You can tell his confidence is shot. This is the least amount of time he’s played while being in the nba. The guy was shooting and playing well the first 30-40 games of the season. I wish we could get that Ryno back ASAP we’ll need him for GSW and the Cavs.
