This is the dude who couldn't figure out how to end a tied all star game with an impromptu home run contest and then says the next year that all star games will decide World Series home field advantage. LOL!

because we totally would have won if the roof was closed... we got spanked and it had nothing to do with the roof

How do you know, game 3 went into extra innings, and game 4 was 1-0. Any minor factor could have effected that outcome.

Regardless it wasn't his f*****g decision to make.

There was no official policy in place... if so, why didn't they demand the roof open for the NLCS games where the weather was warmer and most games were in the day?

Additionally, the only precedent for retractable roof stadiums in the World Series were in 92 and 93 in Toronto and 2001 in Arizona... and for all those games, the roof was closed.

The World Series fiasco was a result of the Cardinals publicly complaining during the NLCS that the Astros were using the closed roof as a method to accentuate their home field advantage... and the Astros complying was just another example of Drayton bending over to appease Selig, at the detriment of his own team.

It's a shame Wesley Willis didn't write a diss track about Selig before he passed away.

You could bet your ass that if there was a decision to be made like that against Steinbrenner, George would had told Bud to go F himself. But then again Bud would have never had the nads to even suggest it.

We got spanked? Losing four games by a combined six runs is getting spanked? What an odd comment to make.

You must not have been at MMP in 2004 and 2005. The roof being shut, and the noise it created, affected the Cardinals. They even admitted being rattled because of what precisely you said... Usually noise plays no role in baseball HFA, but it sure as hell played a role in those series.

Anyone named "Bud" is an enemy to Houstonians.

Selig is a despicable goon, but he was just doing his job -- appeasing his bosses at any cost.

Steroids. Cockteasing Rose. All-Star game tie. Dicking over the Astros on numerous occasions. Bungling the idea of contraction. The demise of the Expos. The shadiness of Marlins Stadium.

What am I missing? Someone needs to do a BuzzFeed article on how much of a ****head he's been as commissioner.
