Sega has lowered the price of the Dreamcast to $49. It's to the point where you practically have to buy one, it's so cheap. I'm gonna pick one up this afternoon -- does anyone else here have one? What games do you like for it?

Thanks for posting this Vengance. I was thinking of picking one up too. They have a deal at Circuit City where you get the console, one controller, NFL 2K1, NBA 2K1 and MLB 2K1 for $69. It's hard to beat that! One game I played that was alot of fun is Virtua Tennis. It's great for head to head matches or if you have enough people around you can play doubles.

Any other good games???

i love my dreamcast...if you dont have another system than get the sport games, nfl2k2, nbs2k2, and tennis2k2. ready to rumble 2 rules as well as the resident evils they have if you're interested in RPG. tony hawk 3 would be a good choice too and for fighting you have to get soul caliber which is the best fighting game out for all systems until its sequal comes out on ps2.

and on a side note...i think im going to have to go get me a gamecube, which i thought would never happen, but they came out with rogue squadron 2 and i need my fix...

If you're into console RPGS, Skies of Arcadia is one of the best. Grandia 2 is also very good.

the graphics rule ps1, but I guess n64 is a good example...

btw, i'd say the system rocks, but damn it's hard to designate time to actually playing video games. I lmao when I read a bball player (kt?) list "playing playstation" as his ONE hobby. What a dork.

DC blows PSone and N64 graphics out of the water.

DC is more comparable to PS2 in that department.

Good rpgs:
Skies of Arcadia
Shenmue(if you consider it an rpg)
Grandia2

Good fighting games:
Soul Calibur
DoA2
Powerstone
Just about any Capcom fighter, esp Marvel vs capcom2

Sports:
the 2k series(I heard that NFL2k2 wasn't up to par compared to 2k1 tho)

Racing:
Metropolis Street Racer
Daytona USA
Tokyo Extreme Racer 1 or 2
Test Drive Le Mans

Other:
Jet Grind Radio(awesome game)
Soul Reaver: Legacy of Kain(if you don't have it for another system)
Resident Evil: Code Veronica

That's right. Such time would be better spent hanging around sports bullitin boards and making fun of such dorks, right?

I'm sure some of them would be frowned upon if they put topless bars, hookers, and mar1juana as their hobbies... :)

... so what exactly does it say under Lamar Odom's bio at nba.com?

This sold it for me:

Dreamcast Emulation

I knew you could run one as a webserver, but I'm blown away by the amount of emulators for it . . . PS, NES, SNES, Genesis, everything!

I picked up Shenmue -- I'll let you know how it is . . .

Man. I have Dreamcast. I got it for either $200 or $300. The best games for Dreamcast are NBA2K2 and World Series Baseball 2k2.

What you should have noticed right away Ottomaton, is that I have at minimum two hobbies. :D
