Is this even remotely possible? I know there are some safety concerns with the train moving, but it would be a very unique way to watch an Astros game. Plus, the Astros could charge almost anything they wanted for those seats, like the seats on top of the Green Monster in Fenway. The Astros could cover themselves by making customers who buy the tickets sign a waiver saying that the Astros aren't liable for any injuries incurred while the train is moving...
it would be so comfy sitting on that bed of oranges you could peg Sosa right in the head with one as he is running out in his usual boastful way
That would be pretty cool. A good way to charge a huge fee to some rich guys, but I don't see it happening.
If this happens, I think the people sitting in the train should be in control of when it toots the horn and makes its run. This way, they could do it during all the opposition ABs and piss off the batters
Could you imagine the uproar by Trader_texxx when someone finally gets hit by that out of control train???
Nah, they'd just complain about the funds ostensibly used to build the stadium being diverted to useless public transportation, particularly if there were people of various socio-economic strata enjoying the ride.
I believed that train has only 7 horsepower. That's not enough to carry people. But it'd be nice to carry fans on that train though.
#1. the speaker that makes the train make noise is really loud. #2. Once you've goten that far it would be very difficult to keep you away from the controls that drive the roof. It would also be easy from there to climb up to the top of the roof and commit suicide, etc. In otherwords, it is in an area that has been designed for limited access, and would require some sort of major feasability study & redesign in order to make it happen. #3. One of the main concerns has always been ensuring that nobody gets run over. Every time they move the roof they signal basically anybody who might be within range over a radio to give them fair warning. Given that history, they'd be too afraid to allow it to happen.
