as stated above, my criticism has to do with his (continued) grandstanding, which i find unbecoming in a president, not his actions in ordering the hit.

I was the one that brought that up, and I've never been an Obama basher.

Don't liberals preach global equality? I believe everyone is. By disrespecting a sovereign state and sending troops into it without permission is an act of war.

But we're the US who gives a ****, what are they going to do!

And I'm not saying this because Obama did it, I'd be saying it regardless who the president was.

He's running for election, you twit. That's what running for office involves. Grandstanding. Constantly reminding everyone of the good things you've done. WTF is he supposed to say on the stump if it isn't a whole bunch of "I did X" and "I did Y"?

The only thing the right is truly pissed about right now is that they're not the one's that get to run the ad saying they killed Osama Bin Laden.

Pakistan, it could be argued, was harboring a clear and present danger to the United States. If Obama had known bin Laden was there, surrounded by the Pakistani military, and done nothing, I would call for his impeachment. We found out that he was there, and the President acted in the best interests of the United States, and that's exactly what I expected him to do if faced with this situation. Ask for "permission" to act, and in my opinion, bin Laden would have disappeared before you could mutter "9/11."

I'll add this... you seem to think that Liberals (and I assume you mean Democrats, which would include me, as would the label "Liberal") are shy about protecting the United States from a clear and present danger. You should study more history. Democratic Presidents have never been shy about taking military action if it was seen as needed to protect this country. Look it up.

Your original point was that Obama claimed that he inherited Bush's economy yet did not give Bush credit for the military infrastructure that Bush put into place. I show you that he clearly did give Bush credit, and tried to do it as publicly as possible. You respond by going "Well..NObama said he inherited the economy!". Haha, keep #$^&in' that chicken!

A little context on this situation:

Romney's been talking **** for quite a while now about Obama supposedly "apologizing for America" somehow being soft. His foreign policy guys are also full of the Cheney Neo-cons who still believe in unilateral action and all that **** (lets bomb Iran!). The recently departed Ric Grennell was John Bolton's spokeman, for example.

So, Obama using the "I made a hard call and killed bin Laden" ad is not so much self-aggrandizing "spiking the football" as much as it is answering Romney's trash talk.

I am happy that, under President Obama's leadership, Osama bin Laden was killed.

Yes. Those that don't want to fail and get ridiculed. Look what happened to Jimmy Carter. That's an example of the political risk of failing.

Yes.... Actually the President before Obama did.

I do not get why Republicans keep grasping at red herrings or just bull****. Obama is not born in USA... He is a radical hippy extremist ... He is a Muslim ... He reads off a TelePrompter.... He is the anti-Christ ... He spoke or knew someone 25 years ago we don't like.. Do you all think Independent voters are stupid???? There are so many issues to criticize Obama on like his stripping of civil liberties, his close relationship with Monsanto and long term destruction of farmers, his continued policies that make us arguably more dependent on the government ..... But no, you would rather call him a socialist, or debate whether he is "really" a black President, and then parade out and support a ******* incompetent clown like Herman C as "see we are not racist, we will support a black" guy BS... You are only hurting your own party.

Don't whine and cry about Obama taking credi for killing OBL. No joke, Bush BETTER have laid the groundwork, he had 8 years of chasing him. Hell Bush basically was reelected on there being no subsequent domestic terrorist attacks. Attacking Obama on foreign policy will be a disaster, as quite frankly, he has out Republicaned the Republicans. The liberal, black, scary extremist bit just appeals to no one but people that were voting for Mitt regardless.
