okc's problems are far from starting with the head coach. not a smart move to start.

Warriors dont have Kevin Durant. Sure Curry is there but lets be real he's nowhere near KD levels, at least as of now, totally different situation.

The only thing that can make OKC better is KD's foot. Everything else is noise.

To me this is more of a "competetive rebuilding" like the Rockets did after parting with Adelman although they have 2 guys to lead on. 2015-2016 is going to be interesting for the future of this franchise. If healthy they can still make the playoffs but they are preparing for either KD or Russ to walk. Anyone else see it that way?

I figured they would give Scotty a season with a healthy squad to see what he could do before canning him. I think KD is gone and Westbrook is going to get a kazillion dollars to stay and put up monster stats on a .500 team.

When's Ibaka's deal up? I can see him bolting too.

OKC was like the Fab Five to me. They almost reached the ultimate goal when they were so young that it seemed inevitable that they would come back for years and win multiple championshiops with that core. Problem is, when it seems that destined to happen it almost never does due to bad luck, bad health or bad attitudes.

I think Brooks just had great players. His coaching wasn't anything special. We will see when he gets on a mediocre franchise.

I think Durant will be bothered by this. I really do see Durant / Westbrook just breaking apart soon.

Sure sign of a crumbling business culture when the boss starts making scapegoats out of his well-performing subordinates.

Apparently Russ and kd were really close to Scotty so this doesn't bode well for them. Getting a college coach not named coach k is not gonna keep them from fleeing. I def see them trading them for good young talent they can keep long term because I just don't see them staying. What did they expect from brooks with a depleted roster and different daily starting lineups. Okc is starting to look dumb and I wonder how this affects the kanter situation

Excellent point, they just wanted to fire Scott, who are they going to get JVG, Mark Jackson, Brian Shaw, Mike D'antonio. No if they were smart they would get a young Brad Stevens (Celtics coach, I know) but someone along those lines

If you're trying to win now, I would go with Thibs to teach them better D.
