Scott Brooks fired by OKC

This could go either way. This could piss off Durant and Westbrook and signal their departure. Or if they hire a good coach, they could be the next Warriors.

 

This was obvious. They want Kevin Ollie.

 

They are likely going to talk to Tom Thibodeau first, then JVG?

What about Mark Jackson?

 

Thibodeau has to get fired first, but man I hope they don't hire JVG.

 

Florida coach Billy Donovan is expected to become a serious candidate to replace Brooks, sources told Yahoo Sports.

I think Billy Donovan is a really good coach, but I'm not sure how a strong personality coach is going to mesh with Westbrook.

 

I could understand firing him if the team was under achieving, but to do it with all the injuries they had (and two of their best players)?

Will be interesting to see how this plays out with Durant's FA.

yeah i dont blame brooks.

 

I guess Presti wasn't going to fire himself, so Brooks has to be the fall guy. Their seasons would not have been derailed by injuries if they had kept Harden.

 

these guys basically told Durant what he needed to know about the future in OKC... that there is none. Welcome to Houston KD

 

I can see JVG salivating as we speak at the thought of coaching a healthy Durant and Westbrook.
