Patterson Put up GOOD REBOUNDS and better then SCOLA more atheltic. and Put up good Boards also..thatas we Need..Defense and at least a Double Digit Scorer..but he play only 20 min yest and had 13 rebound and 16 points?
Oh yeah SCOLA can't DUNK at least PATTERSOn can and IF HE GET FOUL he get FOUL..better chance getting a DUNK or FOULED by dunking..but I am a scola Fan also..but Gotta move on...His body getting old...Morey want a Young Team. If thabeet and him combine together man..This team will be Good plus YAO..play him limited mins..be GOOD..Got vote for all star and didnt even play whole season or barely. and Average 10 points..this season..
This is stupid......we have both and they each bring something different to the table. Pat is on his rookie contract so he isnt going anywhere and from the looks of it Scola is here to stay....Lets just enjoy and feel privelaged to have both of them on our team.........IT IS WRITTEN
Same as Landry scenario (2 too good players sharing the same spot), PPat is a better trade bait for the Rockets. Scola, labeled as 'veteran' is harder to trade, and less likely to bring the assets needed in return. That's why it's more likely PPat (plus salary fillers and extra sweeteners) could be used to get the long awaited superstar or Defensive C.
Same here. Lowry seems to get more engrossed in finding his own shot as the game wears on. I think this is on the coaches though. They should be the ones to remind Lowry, throughout the game, that his main role is as a pg and that he should get his team mates more involved in the game. Lowry should study how the elite pg's impact the game, and how he should know when to pick his spots with his improved shooting. Overall, he has done very well though. As to the current Scola vs. Patterson debate, it is mind boggling how so many fans here are ready to declare a major change in the pf position after a few good games by PPat. They easily and quickly forget how Scola plays and his invaluable contribution to the Rockets game. They seem to always want younger players and trades more than a positive build up of the team to win championships. Can we keep most of the current players and build on them, for once, instead of this mindless clamor for constant change to nowhere? How many "young" teams have won the championship? How many more years can we wait to even sniff some air of the finals with a propensity to go "young"? Foolish.
This thread sounds awfully familiar. Where did I see it? Oh, I know, there was some threads back then about the PG position. Now it's the PF's turn.
My point is about this debate, where can you go with scola that you cant go with patterson starting? I mean, if you could get kaman for scola and miller, doesnt that make your team better in terms of on court and to have a shot at howard and williams?
