Why would he? He can't get closer to argentina than Houston (except for maybe miami)...lots of spanish speakers, warm weather, family is situated, he's close to his buddies Manu and Tiago, etc...so no ****!
sigh ... that's what Shane and Chuck also said. Meanwhile Lowry who said he wants to be traded look like he's gonna stay ...
i agree... maybe as a 6th man his lack of d wouldnt b so detrimental....he could mentor DMo and the young 'uns.... That cap # isnt great for a 6th man...but if he's got rookie scale contracts around him....
His value is just going to continue to decrease at this point. We may as well trade him now to get the most possible. And his cap number is still under 10 million this year...
lol, he must love Houston. This is the only team he hopes to play the rest for his career. I dont blame him.
No one should be surprised that Luis wants to stay in Houston. Hell, I want him to stay in Houston. If he is moved, however, it better be to a contending team. Scola deserves that consideration.
Man, I really wish we didn't have to trade Scola to improve our roster. I'll shed man tears when he leaves our team.
Claudio Villanueva (Luis Scola's agent): "There was talk about a trade to the Lakers, which would be welcome. At the same time, it's all unpredictable and there's no way you can handle this. I have a good relationship with the Rockets vice president, but I hear him say some things that I don' understand." recontravaleradio.com.ar http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm
I love Scola just like everybody else, and I actually want him to stay. As far as our owing him a chance to play on a contender, I disagree. The dude makes $10M to play a game, he should count his lucky stars even if on the Bobcats.
We should bench him and play Brett Wallace. Then we should boo him every time he touches the ball next season.
