lol why can't we use the schaub hater line? well if the receivers don't bail eli out, those passes are incompletions. =/
Well if Gronkowski would have just caught that easy tipped Hail Mary Manning would still be a loser. Lol
I said it at the beginning of the season. Some posters laughed at me. Eli > Schaub (creation of Kubiak) Schaub is good not great.
I was probably one to think the two were pretty similar, uhm, not so much. Not just because of this superbowl, the differences are numerous.
Let's just say since I started this thread, Eli >>>>> Scaub. Sorry I didn't realize that in the first place.
Who exactly are you guys trying to taunt? No one in this thread ever said Schaub is better than Eli. Not even Ric.

No, Hey Now (who's Ric?) was merely offering the statistical arguments that on paper, Schaub is the equal of Eli, playoff victories, Super Bowl wins nonwihstanding. Unfortunately for Schaub, the games are played on the field and not on paper and results do count. It all depends on how you choose to measure success. Personally, Dan Marino was the best QB I ever saw but he never won a Super Bowl. Did that stop him from being in the HOF? No, because his level of play allowed him to secure a place in the NFL record book. Now when folks talk about the best of the best QBs you will hear the names of Bradshaw, Montana, Brady even Aikman. Why? Because not only did they win a Super Bowl, they won multiple Super Bowls. In the end, winning the biggest game appears to be the determining factor here. Until Schaub plays in that arena, comparing him to QBs who have done so is rather subjective and is a disservice to him. BTW, If you replace Schaub with Romo, you then have the same debate that has been going on up here with the legions of Cowsheep ever since the Cows were sent home by the Giants.
Obviously, Ric can fight his own battles....but I'm pretty sure he's said numerous times in this thread that Eli is better than Schaub. His only point is that it's closer than a lot of people here seem to think. It's not exactly like comparing Joe Montana to David Carr.
Eli being better than Schaub isn't a stretch. just don't argue that Eli is better because he has more playoff wins. if that's the case, then Eli is better than Aaron Rogers.
