Just saw the article and thought about posting it here. Well, CF had me beat as always. :)

We are the slowest team in the NBA.

such a good article, i love the evolution of our team from the begining of the season to now, very different style of play which shows that we have a very unique team, high octane power to slow down and efficient. I bet this was all done to converse engergy for the play offs..very very interesting way to doing that as compared to resting

winning & efficient bball >>>>> ball movement

you rather have ball movement than wins then follow the globe trotters

Hopefully the Rockets can get a championship before the Warriors steal it and make it better. Warriors stole the 3 point heave system from the Rockets.

    ISO deniers are collectively fainting..

    nice read, thanks op!

in addition to being ideal for veterans would also be great for talented injury prone players.

Ball movement will always be greater than iso/hero ball. Every coach will tell you that, even dantoni.

You know who else was good at ISOs? Kevin mchale. And what did he always complain about after every game? The ball getting “too sticky”, aka isoball.

You and all of clutchfans wanted mchale fired because of his iso offense. Or do you not remember this:

So tell me again how great isoball is.
Moving the ball and getting a good open shot will always be greater than a contested iso jumper, if you don’t see that, then you’re a lost cause.

    yep. quoting the Buddha

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...klahoma-city-thunder-houston-rockets/4245449/

Houston coach Kevin McHale wouldn't use fatigue as an excuse for the Rockets' performance.

"You're playing basketball," McHale said, shaking his head. "You're not logging tall timbers, believe me. Four games in five nights ... next question.

"We couldn't stop them. We couldn't run. We had nothing."

Exactly!! I think WTH are they talking about everytime I hear that garbage. They either don’t watch, don’t pay attention if they watch or it’s just lazy analysis.

    Lol wheres mchale now?

Just quit it stop hating on the league mvp, the best iso player, and the teams best only untouchable player

Mchale and dwert were the problem not harden

You act like harden held the rockets back from winning its the other way around

Ask cp3, mda, morey, melo, lebron

Stop putting harden at the same level as wb

And the other teams are complaining about Harden's traveling stepback 3, CP3/Harden flopping, and free throw discrepancies.

This, written in the article, is what they should be worried about.

Efficient decision makers make efficient teams.

    Starting with Morey.

In any competitive industry which is America, efficiency improvement is the goal

Maybe that's why ISO Joe plays that much. ;)

The league will change the rules next year to weaken our ISO game after other teams complain about it — wait and see.

I predict they’ll change how they officiate the step back jumper. Harden’s been exploiting that move like a video game cheat code.

It works because we have the two best players in isolation plays. And its not the old iso of Francis-Mobley era, our two guys switch until they get the Carmelos and Kanters. You can actually see them stop once they get who they want and the ball holder regroups as the rest of the team clears out.
I paid attention to basketball when I was young partly because the boxscores intrigued me whereas football (soccer) didn't have much. How lucky am I that the player that wowed me the most then belonged to the most statistically forward thinking now.
