" Instead of “home” and “away,” each team will now have four primary uniform “editions” from which to choose. The “Association Edition” will be the team’s traditional white uniform, while what was formerly the road uniform will now be designated as the “Icon Edition.” The two remaining editions will be revealed later this fall. Along with those four uniform editions, eight teams will have a “Classic Edition” available this fall, a nod to these team’s most iconic looks which they can also choose to occasionally wear. "
Still didn't change the font I seriously want to sit down with whoever decided to change the numbers font from matching the Rockets one to copying the pacers! How in the world can you be this stupid?!?! The font we had was awesome.
the old jerseys had the 2 line starting from the top all the way do the sides, I don't know how to post pics for comparison, can someone else and zoom in on these new ones please ?
Ironically Nike is going with more room around the armpits and the Rockets jersey is a lot tighter here..just idiotic.
If the supporting elements and the whole system of the brand looked better I likely wouldnt have an issue with the R. Some adjustments need to be made to that R too. The funny thing is going through this thread and seeing some folks' interesting design taste.
Hahaha please can we get a new owner already, this is hideous! Cannot believe we still are rocking this
Agreed. The "R" logo is good and simple. Updating it into a roundel is the next logical step. As for uniforms, I would like to see a more flattering streamlined cut (V neck) and larger fonts. The small font and bulky cuts are not flattering on players. Makes them look fat, tbh.
It's still really hard to believe we didn't get new uniforms. 14 years. We've gone through so many changes and missed opportunities to rebrand. This was a failed Yao/T-Mac brand that had a lot of disappointment. Once they were gone, we were basically starting over. No rebrand. In comes Harden. Our new face of the franchise. No rebrand. In comes Dwight Howard. The next big duo! No rebrand. In come D'Antoni and Harden at PG. Exciting! No rebrand. In comes CP3 and Nike taking over. Horrible tweaks made. No rebrand. It's unbelievable. And from my understanding is that the new owner will have to submit the new rebrand now for it to be done in 2 years time and there's still not even a certainty that the new owner will rebrand or even decide to submit a 2 year notice this year, so it could be 3+ years still. Someone mentioned how the Clippers rebranded in months after new ownership and it looked horrible and rushed, but honestly.....after seeing what the Pistons just did...**** it..just basically take the old logo and old uniforms and update the fonts..THATS it. You're done. It'll take 1 month of coming up with modernized letters that suit the brand, maybe flesh out the ball in the logo, and you're done. You can spend the next 2 years coming up with an alternate standalone R logo.
Everybody got better uniforms except for our team... I got to admit though, they are a better than the uniforms they previously had, and way better than the pajamas they had in the late 90's. They can still do better, and all we can hope for is the new owner changes the uniforms to better uniforms.
Looks like because of the "cut" of the shoulders they removed the "rings." I guess understandable. But the "upward" vertical rings helped slim the jersey some. Removing them, and keeping the "font" small basically means the jersey is this "sea of red" without design elements. Makes Harden look fat. Also, notice the distance from the Font to the Number. It has increased. Though looks like the number font has gotten a bit thicker.
Haha it's the Robin logo. This is what I think of everytime I see the R logo inside a circle that everyone likes.
Here's the white jersey. I love how while tons of teams across the league are making big changes, we manage to make our Nike jersey look like a bad Chinese knock-off.
