What's weird about that solo is that even though it's Kenny G in the video, the solo was actually played by Lenny Pickett, the guy from Saturday Night Live. Also weird that they used autotune on it for some reason. Speaking of Lenny, here's an outstanding solo from when he was with Tower of Power. Solo starts at 1:40. It's long, 9 minutes, but it's one of the all time great funk sax solos.
My favorite sax songs are all from before the mid 60"s. The recording gear and microphones compressed the instrument and smoothed out the sharp edges. Quite honestly, I can't stand high quality recordings of baritone or tenor sax. too buzzy for me. But to each his own - I know plenty of people love it. I can hang with alto or soprano sax - again it is smoother. Surprised these two haven't been mentioned:
