The real screwup was the Blazers not fouling Harden in the backcourt. They did try, but it was a weak attempt. You need to wrap up the guy. Plumlee was going to, but wisely backed off when it looked like Harden might be pulling up from 45 feet away.

It's the tip of what's wrong with our media.....they no longer inform, they program. SAS has NO clue what's going on in Houston, yet he takes a stance and attack a player he clearly doesn't like; an easy target for ratings. It straight backed fired on his ass. It happens all the time in sport media; they have talking heads commenting about teams/ players they don't even watch. You can criticize Dwight, harden or anyone on this team.....just make sure you watched the game(s) first and not just the stat sheet or edited highlights from ESPN. I also peep'd how the only highlight they kept showing of dwight was a failed dunk attempt when he was fouled over and over again. It's all propaganda and makes them that much less credible lol. They were trying to help SAS justify his mistake by massaging the less informed opinion of the situation by showing Dwight missing that dunk. It's the reason I refuse to watch that station.
It REALLY is amazing how biased ESPN is, they take being butt-hurt to a whole different level! The sad thing is that most people who view the show take the crap that they spew for granted! Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy>>>>>>>>>Want to be relevant SAS/Skippy Woman in the middle>>>>>>Calvin Murphy/SAS/Skippy ....... ....... .......
They are all idiots that didn't really examine the situation thoroughly enough. McHale is a horrible coach that didn't have utter competency but relied on a guy to go super saiyon every game and that wore out on the guy. Having no set plays is killer for stamina in this league. Did these guys watch games like the Miami one? And all the idiotic coaching from McHale as a Rocket head coach over the years? They know nothing about the Houston Organization.
Just wanted to focus on this specific point. Spot on. I like McHale. He is a good guy and generally most people like him. The media loves him. And yes the players need to be held accountable, BUT, there are some serious X&O related stuff that McHale (and staff, including JB) FAILED to deliver for the Rockets and that is a big issue. I have not seen 1 media person point this out and it skews the discussion of the problems with this team.
Because they really don't know shiiit. Harden is physically and mentally worn out because of the Iso plays the coaching staff ran through him. He's literally trying to figure out a sustaining approach to an 82 game season. And that's the real problem.
SAS hates on Houston with or without Mchale and he didn't believe in the team with or without Mchale so instead of saying that he uses the Mchale firing to just hate more on Harden and Dwight.
He should be. In Murph's playing days, he had 4 major fights & won them all. The shortest player he fought was 6-8 (Cornbread Maxwell I think). Yes, Murph was a bad a$$!
On 610 today they were talking about an interview that someone had in another market with McHale where he said he tried to coach the team, but the only one that got it was Dwight (or something along those lines). Did anyone else hear this or know the name of the person/show that they were talking about? It would be interesting to hear or read the transcript.
To SAS's defense, he and I share the same affinity towards cheese doodles. He knows what's good. For that, SAS will forever have my respect. No, I don't listen to his sports commentaries.
It was very refreshing to hear Calvin Murphy put SAS in check. Dude was clearly wrong in his assessment concerning Dwight and the Rockets.
