You might be joking, but some of you guys need to calm down. Austin Rivers definitely won't be making tough shots and smart plays against good teams in the Playoffs when you need him to. Again, let's calm down.

Man, Austin Rivers is turning out to be everything we wanted MCW/Brandon Knight to be.

The significance? The Rockets can score against anyone. They are not a team that just feasts on poor and undisciplined defenses.

Current worriers maybe. Last years and beyond no chance. We need Chris anyway even if he will be playing one legged

Austin Rivers will have poor shooting nights for sure. However he defends every night, plays gritty and also can handle the ball without turning it over. Those are constants, and something that the Rockets really really needed.

Also I would point out that the two previous years Rivers shot 37% on 3's, so he could easily shoot that on a Rockets team with so many open looks. He is quick and likes to drive to the basket.

Morey got very lucky because Rivers can cut Paul's and Harden's minutes. That also allows Harden and Gordon to play more at the 3. So the back up point guard spot and swing guard spots are likely filled.

We still could use a rangy three/four like Ariza and a four/five. Those are spots the Rockets can likely fill in trade. Even if Knight isn't moved, the Rockets can move Chriss for someone to fill those spots. Markieff Morris would be a good fit for the four/five.

No one is taking Chriss unless we give up a pick. He's that bad. If you were already assuming that, my bad then haha.

I agree with all of that, but again, he's not a Chris Paul replacement unless you guys are now suddenly saying he has the potential to be a top-15 player because of a few 10-point games...

Capela , and Tucker plus four future first rounders for Davis.
