I am planning to go to San Francisco in September for some business and pleasure. I remember reading a thread recently in which a fellow clutchfans member had a hook up for hotels in San Francisco. I believe they worked for Star Wood hotels or something. I think it was "CHI" but I'm not 100% sure. If so, would it be possible for me to get a deal on a hotel as well? If its not "CHI" then can someone point me to the person who did have that hook up. Or if someone knows any current good deals for hotels in San Francisco that would be very helpful as well.
Exactly what I was thinking. I mean, the dude's name ends in "playa"! Maybe he's hispanic and just likes the beach. In any case, when you get back, I expect to see a similar thread title with much more interesting content.
I've stayed at the Hotel Diva a couple of times, and enjoyed it. A suite with a king or queen size bed in the bedroom, and a queen size Murphy bed in the "living area," with a flat screen HDTV in each room is nice if you have a teenager along, like we did on our last trip. Very reasonable and a good location. Just don't take the first room they give you. I had to ask to be moved each time I was there (all the rooms are not created equal!), but they had no problem doing it. Get as high a floor as possible, because the streets can get noisy late at night. Nope, no "hook ups," but you could do worse. http://www.hoteldiva.com
"San Francisco hotel hook up" sounds like having a one-night stand with a tranny hooker you didn't know wasn't a woman 'til he/she told you and now you're posting it on CF for a laugh.
OP, I highly recommend registering at couchsurfing.com SF is the best city for that. I can give you a recommend. I know the SF organizers. CSing is free. ..and I have a hotel with a secret password as well...gets you into SoMa at Houston rates. You can also do priceline and such and many of the SF peeps here can help you with that...you want to deselect certain areas like the tenderloin.
Thank you Deckard and heypartner for the advice. I'll definitely look into both of those suggestions. Chi I responded to your email. Dude thanks a lot for taking the time out to help me.
"You must spread some reputation around before giving it to CHI again" Can someone please help me out and rep the man. He is giving me a really sweet deal and is looking out for his clutchfans brothers. Thanks again CHI
