Hmm... I wonder what this is about. Sam Cassell doesn't seem to be the silent type.

I kind of hope he's hired. It's the kind of thing where it could go mediocre... BUT, it could be really special, too.

Sam Cassell would be a funny looking coach.

As long as he brings the big balls dance to the sidelines I'm all for hiring him

They probably asked him to sign some balls while he was there because he wasn't getting a "real" interview.

He doesn't have the voice of a coach.

I don't really know why, but I'd be ok with hiring him. He has some kind of confidence about him that leads me to think he can do the job.

This either means he basically got the job or he bombed the interview and embarrassed himself. He's not really the type to bite his tounge, but I can see him using reservation if he got the job or lead assistant job and was instructed to keep quiet until the team makes it official. Kinda hard to tell though.

I think he would make a great coach. Former nba champions and all stars, especially point guards tend to make great coaches. Plus, he has the swagger, confidence, long proven nba playing career, former nba champion, former nba all star, experience as an assistant for multiple teams, tough never quit killer instinct when he played, experience with developing young talent and lottery picks, and houston connections to les, dream, cd, elle, etc...

Don't be surprised if he's on the rockets bench next season either as head coach or as an assistant.

    I won't

A former player doesn't strike me as the type of coach that would seriously consider/utilize all the stats that Morey will have for him. But maybe I'm wrong...

Can someone photoshop the players huddled around E.T. during a timeout?

Right when I was about to post "17 replies and no alien jokes?!?"

I don't think this is the best candidate available. Then again, nobody knows what Morey is looking for in a coach, possibly including Morey himself.

Wake me up when the playoffs are over and we can finally hire someone.

If nothing else, it'd be entertaining. I love Sam, but never thought of him as a possible head coach for the Rockets (or anyone else at this point in his career). Trippy.
