What do you think of adding him to the mix? he can provide some leadership to our younger PG´s, has championship experience and can be a safe backup in the playoffs if any of our younger PG´s can´t handle the pressure.

He was waived from the Kings a days ago.

He's got experience and can be our token player from the past. He can help mold Lowry and Brooks into better players. I say, sign him to for the rest of the year, and see what he can do for us. Much like Deke, he might not play at all, but he'll be a positive example for the younger players.

I think it's too late for him to be added to a playoff roster. Looking at an article with Marbury, that's why they pushed to release him all of a sudden...

I don't think the Rockets have plans on cutting anybody.

Nothing would make me happier than to see Cassell and Horry signed.

leadership can be an overrated thing in this league. otherwise, we'd see every nba team have a "leadership committee"; and for the rockets, we'd have all those ex-champions on the committee. robert horry may be sitting on 3 different boards...

but what do you mean "He was waived from the Kings a days ago"? you mean the celts waived sammy to sign starbury?

He was traded to the Kings and then waived BY the Kings.

    I'm with you.

    Not to hijack the thread...

Cassell doesn't interest me. If he was dumped by a team where Eddie "worst dribbling guard in the NBA" was playing backup PG in spots, then we'd be just as well served signing Francis, or better served signing WhiteChoc.

I LOL'd at the "sign Kenny Smith" comment. :D
