wade or bosh may have opt out very sticky situation, I don't see Lebron leaving the heat if melo can just come join him there.

if Knicks had cap room, I see Lebron going to ny to join melo, but they won't have it until next year.

Nah, the Kobe/ Payton/Malone/Shaq/Fox was the most talented all-time, but that age hurt them the most, as well as Phil's system.

The only way I can see Lebron and Melo together is if Lebron tells Melo that he is for sure joining him in NY next year after his contract expires. Melo resigns and Lebron takes his talents to NYC in 2015 (with maybe Bosh in tow and Wade retires).

I heard from a source (not sure how credible) that he wants to go to New York. He hopes to win it this year to opt in, and see if they can go for a forth, then try for New York next year (2015). I'm really hoping they lose, so it can force his hand.

I didn't hear about the Melo connection, but it make sense. Also makes you think of the Jackson hiring (back channels). Hmmm

Lakers are going to tell Melo+Lebron that will get coach Cal for them and pay up to 12 mil to bring him in to coach the 3.

The Lakers man.... Would Melo/LeBron fall for this? Do you get the sense Melo wants to go to Miami?

This is not happening because 1. Miami is winning the title 2. Wade and Lebron arent leaving 3. only way it could happen is if Bosh leaves and Melo replaces him (big IF)

All I know is Lebron has complained to his people that he is tired of Wade taking off in-season.

Salary cap people, "in theory" how much of a pay cut would Lebron, Bosh and Wade have to make just to fit in Carmelo Anthony? Just curious how much salary they would have to sacrifice just to get it done.

I have "heard" they can possibly offer 17.5 mil to each player by renouncing Pau and stretching or trading Nash?

    I have NOT confirmed.

Is this the Lakers you're saying can offer 17.5 to Lebron & 'Melo?

I ask because you're quoting a Miami scenario...

I'm no genius, but I'd guess roughly 1/3 each, if you mean fitting 'Melo in Miami. :)

    I apologize - long day.

I have heard things from the Lakers side - not as much from the Miami side.

You know, as hard as this is to watch again... why didn't Jones follow the ball? It was a slow pass and he really could have put another body near the shooter. The only answer is: he was never coached to do so on a short inbounds pass with a fraction of a second left.

Naw, that's cool. The Lakers angle is interesting too.

In either the Miami or Lakers case, people will be taking less money. I was just curious "how much less" in those scenarios.
