He is coming off a serious injury and his deficiencies are well known too.

    No thanks.

They're also resting Amare when they can and limiting his minutes when he does play already. Also running a lot of small-ball/guard-heavy lineups with Dirk and sometimes Richard Jefferson/Charlie V. at center while they try to do it. Javale at ~20 minutes a night for them would let them rest Amare and keep him fresh for the postseason without huge consequence.

It's a no-brainer. Low-risk, high-reward. He may end up not giving us any viable minutes, but he's a cheap player with potential at a position of need. Javale's goofy, but he's not a cancer.

Reporter folks on twitter said he just had to be waived by midnight to be eligible.

Kinda get the feeling he's going to end up here, no way poppavich or carlisle put up with him. For some reason I think our ties to philly means there might be something in place. I'd rather pick up andray blatche (not the shotblocker mcghee is) IMO blatche is more of a solid smarter player.

You got a point there. I'm glad I'm not a cap expert guy.

10-15 mpg would be more than enough for his role here.

BTW, what ever happened to Emeka Okafor?

Why not? I understand the bonehead plays but that is not all that he is.

If he is healthy enough to play at 85% of gm 5 vs lakes -2012 we could use some of that desperately.

Not a salary cap expert either, but say we waive dorsey...could we use the stretch provision on him?
