    You're right.

He bungled it by acquiring Mallet in the first place

We don't acquire him, he doesn't miss this flight

Oh he's fully responsible for his actions and he's wrong in this case, I'm just saying that it's not surprising that he might not care anymore after being jerked around all year. It's certainly a flaw in his character and if you remember I've always said that Mallett is really dumb.

As to Hoyer, I hope for the Texans sake that he finally shows that he can handle pressure without completely cracking, something that has been a problem ever since high school for him. It was certainly the case in the first game of the season and he hasn't seen serious pressure since then. At some point you have to expect pressure to come and we'll see how he deals with it.

He's already the primary backup in St Louis.

Texans are pretty much forced to keep a head case on the team at this point. These types of things mainly happen to joke franchises. This team for most of it's existence has been an embarrassment to the city.

But this is the same OL that Mallet had zero time to throw in.

    Amazing how they suddenly improved

    That's absolutely not the case.

If they cut him tomorrow, they can sign someone that can equal his production, and get that person up to speed quickly. Should that person have to come in the game, it's up to O'Brien and Godsey to put him in a position to succeed based off of how much of the offense he knows.

They're forced to have him on the roster today, but absolutely not forced to have him on the team come tomorrow. They should just leave him in Miami to party and sleep in all he wants. Friggin bum.

It would be a difficult to get a street free up to speed at this point, but they have no other choice. You can't have a guy miss a practice and then miss a flight on your team. The players could potentially lose all respect for the coaching staff if Mallett is here next week.

If Hoyer does get hurt we would be in a great position to draft the QB of choice with a high pick next offseason though.

In fairness, Mallett did say the last time he "overslept" that they wouldn't have to worry about that happening again "as long as I play here". He doesn't play here anymore.

It's down to Mallet on how he reacts to it; he needs to held accountable for his OWN actions.

    He's an unprofessional worthless idiot.

As he should know, being one injury or one ineffective quarter away from being back in is pretty much worth giving a damn.... not to mention he's getting paid to do this.

    He's a loser.

And he's still one injury away from being back in. I'm not arguing that he's not an unprofessional loser, but there's really nothing BOB can do to him.

LOL what a idiot. Dude is as good as gone. No wonder BOB picked Hoyer over him in the preseason. He has character issues. Cut his ass and bring in an old timer as a back up. At this rate Jacksonville will be better than us. smh

Buying a battery alarm clock and saying it will never happen again is a strong statement?

Our Bye is in 2 weeks. That might be a better time to make a move and give the new guy an extra week to get up to speed.

TJ Yates is a FA. Bring him back, Rick.
