That said, he's got a cannon arm and has more than prototypical size.

"Dumb as a bag of hammers" is pretty funny. He was grilled by Gruden and his responses were actually pretty good. Did you see that. He seemed real "country" though.

The "WHO'S GONNA GIVE RYAN MALLET A SCANTRON" story is pretty indicative of what I would expect his personality to be like.

If all the Texans needed was a QB, then maybe I'd be interested in seeing what he could do. However, I think the Texans need a lot more than a QB, so what's the point.

What makes you so sure? One good drive in the preseason? Case and Yates used to do that all of the time.

i don't think there's another position on this team that has a greater need than at the QB position

i think we can be solid on both sides of the ball otherwise

With it this late in the game and with the Texans having #1 waiver priority, you either get him for free or you don't get him at all.

anybody know who else we might target on the waiver wire?

QB is clearly an issue, but how about the O-line or the secondary?

If you get cut on the first cut, you're probably garbage, but Ras-I Dowling might be worth a flier....maybe. Probably not though.

maybe we could take a flier on Max Starks, just because he could help in the OL.
    or bring back Wade Smith.

Why does he say more than likely? Why not just say yes without a question?
If Mallett becaomes available they will jump on it.. Obrien will jump on that.
