i'd be inclined to give him some respect, but i've never seen a player wilt and give up on himself quite like Anderson.

Not sure if there was ever a time limit on it but I wish we could still use the amnesty clause.

I would respect him if he took a major paycut for the team.

Is that actually a option if Ryan accepted to do it?

There is no amnesty, he can't take a pay cut ... just two good old fashioned first round picks will do the trick. ;)

No, players can't negotiate their own (current) salaries down.

Best thing Ryno could do, if he's still here next year, is play like he's worth $10M of his $20M contract. At least that would be something.

He's always been too slow for defense, but at one point he was rebounding, scoring put-backs, and taking his open shots. That's all you can really ask for.... where did it go?

20M/yr... for doing next to nothing.... gotta respect his ability to earn major money while putting forth minimal effort...
...makes Royce White look like an amateur....

could he agree to a buyout... and then sign a new contract? jus wonderin hypothetically....
Lawson removed the guarantee from the final year of his contract when we traded for him? Could anybody just remove the guarantee from some or all of their remaining contract and allow themselves to be waived?

-12 in 8 minutes. No respect. We needed 10 good minutes from him.

I just remember CP getting mad on the bench and slapping the seat while Anderson was getting smoked by Curry.

If I understand correctly, an NBA team still retains most or all of the cap hit from a buyout. It's mostly designed to just get a player physically off of your roster, but it does penalize the team. If we then turned around and gave him another contract, we would be double penalizing ourselves for every dollar we paid. Again, this is if I understand things right.

The NBA seems to be extremely player-centric in terms of what a team can do with an overpaid scrub. We can thank the very powerful players union for that.

One of the best things about the NBA is the very powerful players union.
