OkC had a winning record when WB didnt score 40 pts and had a losing record when he scored 40+. Also while Ibaka was indeed hurt they got a ton more contributions this year from lamb, Adams, Kanter etc. The top seed was earned by KD going beast mode, WB going blackhole caused them to miss the playoffs. I dont think I'm being unfair, WB is a great talent but he did nothing chuck up the ball this year.
I find the closest thing to Nash would be his prodigy, Goran Dragic. Both look to set up their team mates first and then score. Dragic is also not too shabby of a shooter as well.
Man, that game 4 or 5 against the Lakers in 2010 when sasha vujacic and Goran Dragic got into it and then the Suns went off and came back after it, that was so fun to watch.. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/BBMgFhknWGc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/t_-2b3vpnW0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I can see it. It's basically the exact same team. Incidentally, Royce White is going to eventually be Dennis Rodman. [Pic of Kenyon Martin]
OP, I think you missed on this one. Two different styles and two different ways of being effective. Possibly, two different positions, since Westbrook is more of a quintessential combo SG/PG. Which I think he does very well at.
