Because they are Melo stats. Rockets brought in another poor-fitting player who is inefficient scoring and bad at defense. All you can hope for is Westbrook realizes that all he needs to do is attack the basket consistently. It won’t happen, but that’s the hope.
Nah there’s a difference between legitimate concerns and just some horrible posters around here that give there hot takes just bc. He hates the latter as do many of us. A lot of his list was spot on
I loved those open 10-12 foot mid rangers, in rhythm, to keep the momentum going. I'm cool with that. But ya those off dribble 3's, the strange 18 foot Tim Duncan wannabe off the glass attempts, and the pull-up contested long 2....c'mon man. Stick to your strengths.
In the end, the trade on paper makes our window bigger so, that at least should be good, but at the same time Westbrook isn't going to change at this point, he is who he is, and i can see why that might not help us win in the end, although who knows... Regardless, James and Tilman wanted to get rid of Chris mouth and contract (alongside all those picks) so, we just have to deal with it and hope for the best with Westbrook. If only Butler wanted to be here...but eh, it is what it is.
Westbrook played great. He took a total of 3 mid range shots, 2 of which were closer than 16 feet. The 5 3-point shots he took were all off the catch and wide open. He drove almost every single chance he could and generally speaking, good things happened. If he keeps this mentality up, his TS% will skyrocket and the noises about him being inefficient will slowly dissipate. I hope this continues.
