This probably isn't anything new, but it just reiterates what has been said before about Jax.. Horry also mentions Kobe and dream as the best he's ever played with.

Interesting. Wonder what some of the other vets would have to say on this matter?

Doesnt sounds like Jackson would do something that stupid.

I don't know what Phil would get out of that. Very un-zen like.

What's better than two great players? Two great players who are also motivated. That's my guess.

How many did they win before Phil got there?

If this is true, then it is crazy, but clearly it worked. Phil was imo able to get the best out of both of them (they were both on an MVP-level together, similar to MJ-Pippen though probably not as good).

That is the whole point of discussing it..... the one against the Pistons they had no reason to lose, and then the one Shaq won with the Heat...

If you mean there is no guarantee they win, I agree with you.... but it in an interesting discussion.

Phil Jackson doing NOTHING to curtail the fued still leaves him a bit culpable.

I doubt a coach like Greg Popovich or Doc Rivers would let that happen with his players without intervening

Phil Jackson won championships with players who hated each other.
Apparently this happened also in Chicago too.

It's about motivation and making your team believe in your philosophy.

I'm pretty sure Phil Jackson could have won a Championship without taking this route if this is true.

Probably would have won more. I don't see how this would motivate them. Do you really think Kobe Bryant needs motivation? Shaq well he was dominate and never was thought of to be unmotivated at any point in his career.
