Lakers will trade Pau Gasol to da Clips for Blake Griffin, CP3, and DeAndre Jordan in return. And everybody will be like "hurr durr, good trade, sounds legit" Typical Laker trade, whenever they aint winnin, some bullsh!t like this happens.

PPat for Gasol straight up? Id personally like to see what Asik Gasol Parsons Harden Lin can do in the playoffs
Watching the LA pre-game commentaries. Talk is all about Gasol. Now, they're talking about Duhon. Showed Hardin arriving early to TC.
Not that I want Gasaol, but trading for him is impossible without including one of Harden, Lin or Asik. We would still have to throw in players like Aldrich to make it work. /lets get gasol. I do believe the Lakers are shopping him, but no one is buying.
I wouldn't. He's 24, wants to be here, and will get better. Gasol is 32, doesn't want to be here, and plays like a b****.
Gasol PPat Paysons Hardin Somebody That is a legit playoff team. Next year, sign an elite FA PG, we will be contending. I think Gasol has a couple of years left in him. Then a huge cap relief when Hardin is ready to dominate the league and becomes a magnate. That's a better plan to me for this team.
The trade would most likely be Lin, Cook, and Aldrich for Gasol. I would not do that trade. The Lakers don't have any picks left and I prefer almost any of the power forwards entering free agency this year or any of the ones currently on the roster. I am far from being a big Lin fan, and I don't like the idea of that trade. Acquiring Gasol would make our cap space vanish. He will be 33 in July, and simply is not worth it. Big men tend to decline faster than guards.
If LA would take Lin for Pau, we gotta pull the trigger, got to. It is a risky move given Pau's age. But if he is healthy he is going to make this team a lot stronger than what Lin has provided so far. Lin's upside is still a question mark. This kind of move or two will put a team over the hump, see the Nets for success.
That cap room is only gone for 1 off-season. Quite frankly, it's a free agency period where there isn't any player worth blowing a max contract on.
Lin hate >> Scola Hate >> Pau hate. This board does not like Gasol... but ok to trade Lin for him. This board did not like Scola because it hinders "youth movement" but ok having Gasol. Where are the "Youth-movement" lovers when we need them. You know, mmmm... Lin is kind of young.... he can be a part of that "youth movement" too. or Is this movement exclusively for the power forward postion? Gasol for Lin - Hell no.
The goal is a championship, not making the playoffs. Acquiring Gasol sets us back. The only hope we'd have of winning a championship later would be when the Thunder/Heat/Lakers/Spurs get too old.
How does it set back the goal of a championship? Playoff experience = development to attain a championship.
This team can make the playoffs. Gasol getting us to the playoffs doesn't help because he will only decline more and retire soon. Lin can actually develop into a quality starting PG. Gasol will take minutes away from guys like Asik, Jones, Patterson and Montiejunas. Do you think Scola should have been amnestied? Who would you rather have considering their salaries Scola or Gasol?
If the Rockets target is to have cap room in 2014 and beyond when there are superstars to be had. Then yes, it was the right move to amnesty Scola. Gasol's contract ends a year earlier than Lin or Asik's. It's a great trade asset in 2013.
