There isn't that much of a difference between the 2nd and 5th pick in my opinion,so I wouldn't be surprised. I would however go after T-Rob instead.
I'm saying Charlotte wants Beal but they don't want to take him at 2. They are trying to squeeze Cleveland for another pick, threatening to take Barnes. Cleveland has promised Barnes at 4 and Charlotte is trying to get them to trade up to 2 to take him there. I think MJ and Cho want Beal. And something else.
So, things are coming together. Or Barnes and his agent really, really, really don't want him to go to Sacramento. Maybe MJ wants Barnes. He takes Beal. Swaps with Cleveland at 4, also takes the 23 (24?) pick from Cleveland.
Surely it's the Cavs. Either Robinson or Beal drop to Sacramento in this scenario. Would be great if we could trade up for either of these guys
If you put Harrison Barnes on a team like the Cavs with a great, creative PG that can set him up, he could have a very good rookie season.
Sam Amico: As an aside, Lakers are trying to get into first round -- and word is, they like the Baylor guys (Miller and Perry Jones III). Q: Who are Lakers likely dancing partners for a trade? Sam Amico: Houston and Boston. Each has two mid-to-late first rounders.
Warriors: If Harrison Barnes slips through, the Warriors would be happy to take him, and if he doesn’t, Tyler Zeller is the big-man fall-back.
Sam Amick: With the obligatory "things can change" attached, it's not sounding as if Kansas F Thomas Robinson will be working out for the Kings (No. 5) Twitter Chad Ford: Interesting that Austin Rivers only working out for Hornets, Raptors, Blazers, Wizards & Cavs. That's 3-11 range. No workout for Suns. Twitter
