Another tweet from the guy, nothing really new though... Gambo620 Houston called the Suns about a Scola/Battier for Amare deal in February so their interest in Amare is real
That would be stupid to get Staudamire and give up Battier and Scola. No way Staudamire is worth both guy let alone equal to Scola....what are you smoking?
Of course this is legit, of course the Rockets are after Amar'e...how many times have we been linked to him? Doesn't mean it will happen though.
Tweets should all be compiled into 1 thread, unless it's actual break news like if Amare tweeted 'I have just been traded to the Rockets.' Then, that's real news.
Nope. In 2008 KVH was signed and traded from Dallas along with DeSagna Diop, Maurice Ager and Devin Harris. Same CBA. The Jason Kidd era is over in New Jersey. The New Jersey Nets and Dallas on Tuesday completed a trade sending the All-Star to the Mavericks, who now have one of the NBA's best point guards as they look toward the playoffs. This will be Kidd's second stint with Dallas. The eight-player deal, in the making since before the All-Star break, sends Kidd, forward Malik Allen and guard Antoine Wright to Dallas for point guard Devin Harris, center DeSagana Diop and swingman Maurice Ager, plus retired forward Keith Van Horn and Trenton Hassell. New Jersey also gets two first-round draft picks and $3 million. . . . The big winner in this is Van Horn, who has been out of the league the last 1½ seasons. Dallas still owned his rights, so his involvement is essentially to make the numbers work. He'll be signed then traded - and, like Kidd, he'll be heading back to his original team. It seems highly unlikely he'll actually play for the Nets http://www.csnchicago.com/pages/landing_hawktalk_v3?blockID=120724&tagID=20407
Don't want Amare, he has no desire to play defense, Terry Porter basically got run out of town when he tried to make him play D. He doesn't rebound well and his efficiency falls greatly when he's not being spoon fed by Steve Nash. He is a really good offensive player, but our offense is gonna be great as is. Considering what he will be payed, how he plays defense, and his sketchy knee situation, and even sketchier attitude. I would prefer to go in a different direction.
By the way, if the Rockets' caravan is in Florida today, doesn't Amar'e live there? I'm just speculating of course, but if documented reports are accurate that Bosh is in either Dallas or Chicago, they're nowhere near him.
How do you explain Kevin Martin??? Side note - alanhahn At this point it does not appear the Knicks will meet with Amar'e Stoudemire in L.A. as well. Still there is mutual interest
listen. at this point make a thread for rumor of every FA the rockets are NOT going after would be fewer threads at this point
the key word here is "interested." There is no commitment to acquire him yet. you know how you're interested in a girl until you give her a "physical" and find out she's prude? well lets see if amare passes the rockets physical.
The reports were that Amare had a final meeting with Sarver on Tuesday so I assume that he's in Phoenix.
He was two days ago because of the BET Awards, is he now? Though according to the other thread, the NBA won't allow the Rockets to tell the Rowdies where they're going until 11 tonight, so it's probably not worth reading into after all.
If we take Amare and give up Scola...it's going to make us worst off ...i guaranteed. Amare don't play DEFENSE AT ALL...at least Scola taking charges and do things to win games. I don't really see why people are obssess with Amare here. Dude is not tall enough to intimidate anybody. He is only better under Nash....without Nash...his game is mediocre imo.
I'm not obsessed with Amare, and infact I think he's going to get a larger salary than what he's worth. But, Scola is pretty terrible at D. I'd rather Amare on our team than Scola, but that really depends on what he goes for.
KVH wasnt a restricted free agent but retired whose rights were still owned by Dallas different scenario
