Funny hearing Bill and Clyde (aka Dumb and Dumber) discussing the trade during the broadcast today, expressing their bewilderment over why Detroit would trade Billups when they went to 5 straight ECF's with him.

I wouldn't be surprised if these geniuses had never heard of the salary cap.

Michael Curry sat AI the last 3-4 minutes of the Hawks game today. The Hawks announcers were dumbfounded and AI didn't look very happy about it. He actually got back in the last couple of possessions because Rip Hamilton was ejected from the game.

Michael Curry and AI clearly aren't on the same page. AI's been on a scoring binge recently and Curry doesn't seem to like it. He mentioned wanting to get Rasheed more involved in their offense. Today, as soon as AI left, Rasheed took over and almost carried the Pistons to a win. Makes you wonder.

Despite Joe Johnson doing everything possible to blow the game, the Hawks were too much for the Pistons.

No matter what happens Detroit still got better end of the deal. Nugs FO just bought themselves some time with the trade. They'll probably kill themselves 2-3 years from now when Melo has signed with another team, Detoit has wade/melo/bosh/LBJ in their roster and they still have to pay a rapidly declining Billups his money.
