We did run an offense. It just wasn't complicated like the Mavs or the Kings. But then again, I think the Mavs and Kings have players more suited to complicated offensive systems than the Rockets.

There was still a lot of one on one play, but it wasn't like a clear out or anything, most of it was run off high pick and rolls. This generally succeeds in getting someone open, or in allowing the ballhandler to get to the hoop. Who cares if it is simple if it works?

Karl Malone/John Stockton pick and rolls are pretty simple when you think about it, but they work.

 

For as many times as the Rox pretended that they were trying the pick and roll....name exactly how many times the Roller was hit with a pass?

To me its just a modified ISO. Instead of clearing out, we put someone up top to throw a pick and ran them back to the block with absolutely no intent of even looking for the roller.

Its fun when we win, but it took a two pretty damn great performances to get it. How often does two players score 74 points and you need OT to win?
