I had to spit after reading this horribly unclear recount.

Rockets should at the very least offer him some sort of ceremonial role with the organization, unless he wants to keep scouting - in which case, give him that job too.

Les fired him, do you think he will have a change of heart?

And he deserved to be well-compensated by the Lakers after what Kermit Washington did.

I'm going to enjoy watching Mike Brown fail spectacularly.

Come back to Houston, Mr. Rudy T.

Michigan. Let him coach Michigan somehow. Or UH. Sweet Jesus, UH.

Clearly Rudy's heart was never really into coaching agin if his offensive strategy was "f**k it, I'll let Kobe jack up 27 3pt att/game".

Come back to the team that's in your DNA, Rudy, if they're smart enough to give you a position.

I've seen Rudy at Rockets games last season and he doesn't look good :(

Maybe he could work as a part time scout or a something but he has a harder time getting around than Jackson now a days.

I wonder if his son Trey is the same kid he lifted up during the Championship years, if it is, and he's doing stats work, I'm getting old.....

There should be no reason Rudy T can't be brought back to the organization. Les Alexander might have caused some animosity but enough time has passed, circumstances have changed.

I can see if Rudy T is brought in, that it'd start a cry of "Its CALVIN'S turn!", and Les not wanting to open that up.

But DON CHANEY former coach is a FIXTURE in the Rockets organization. Of COURSE Rudy T should be better connected than him.

    Probably

Though he DID have a WINNING record in games WITHOUT Kobe :) This was with Chucky Atkins and Caron Butler, not Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum
