That was a tough shot over Lebron. He basically created his own shot. Looked very smooth. He turned it over in the previous possession but it did not seem to effect him the next trip. Let's not forget his offensive rebound and great defense on Lebron in the final minutes of the game.
He hit the game-winner in Lebron's eye... Rudy Gay continues to show that he's a clutch player. He's been tearing it up this year...22 ppg on practically 50% shooting, 7 rpg, 3 asp, 1 1/2 spg, and close to 1 bpg. Maybe one day he can be a "no-stats all-star"....haha.
Who needs arguably the most talented player in the draft when you can give it up all for intangibles!

Knife meets wrist. Seriously though, I want to forget about this but you guys keep bring it up.... Honestly knowing Morey, we will probably trade the Knicks pick for Thabo.....
Rudy Gay has hit more than his share of game-winning shots. He sort of reminds me of Robert Horry in that respect except Gay has been more creative in the type of shots he's hit.
We had a helluva a player that time and I knew it was mistake, but c'est la vie right? However, if Morey makes another move like this with this year's draft, it should cost him his job. I can't imagine what Mac and Gay would have been like together playing defense under JVG. What could have been.... But for now, let's enjoy the upcoming lottery pick that Battier helps us land.
Two differences: 1) Horry would hibernate until playoffs rolled around. His big shots were during the playoffs. 2) Horry had to be set up for those shots, either directly through Hakeem or through ball rotation because of the double on Hakeem. Rudy has done both: created his own shots for game winners like tonight as well hit open jumpers off of someone else's pass.
