In a trade that sends out non rotational players sure. Would not give up one our top 8 for him though and that includes Ariza

    This.

I wonder what is the market for Gay as today, i don't think there are "a lot" of teams willing to trade good assets for him.

I think you need more poll options...
I'd like Rudy wo obligation beyond the present year... prob wouldnt give Ariza... but if I could get Brewer off the books, i'd prob add like KJ or Harrell... throw in a second rd pick...
    I'd take him - but i wouldn't overpay for a 1 yr rental...

I'd give Brewer and Ennis and probably a 2nd round pick for him.

Trading Ariza for him clears cap a year early. I see this as very very plausible.

But please please please let's try and get Cousins as well.

Ariza's contract, especially in this new salary cap that we are in, is a complete bargain deal even though his play has declined some. There wouldn't really be a point of 'trading him to clear cap' unless we either knew, or had a strong indication of, an impact player wanting to come here. Otherwise, we would be doing double for a player on a similar level. Remember we tried to give Bazemore double Ariza's current salary and so far he is having a worse year.

I thought Rudy meant Anderson's contract was gone, then regain the expired money this summer.

Once Ariza starts missing his threes , then what.... He is aging fast and the drop off from a defensive presence in Gay is not much. Gay has a nasty wingspan and can move his feet ...3pt shot will get better when playing with Harden.

only if we can trade brewer and ennis filler or anderson. next offseason and draft is way better than this past one. give this team another chance. also rather have him as starting 4 over anderson. he's in a contract year and playing like it, his 3 ball is 40%. he's the same or better at anderson at everythign but shooting, which there isnt a huge drop off. forget chemistry, they can get a 2nd chanc at a loaded offseason. worth it. making the 2nd round with harden surrounded by good players isnt hard, we'll be a tpo fa destination.

how can we want a player that doesnt believe in some form of analytics. He isnt a fan of it and probably wont use it to his benefits. I'd rather take Joe Johnson - he can still stroke up, he did when we played utah.
