If they gave us some 1st round picks for taking on a rediculous contract.

Morey would kill himself before he trades for Gay.

LOL.... ummm.... huh.... Wouldn't the Rockets have to WANT Gay? And to trade away that many assets for Gay... Can't see it happening and I for one hope it wouldn't be a consideration.

DO NOT WANT. I know Morey's not dumb enough to take on that contract either.

Rudy Gay would kill our cap and he's not even an elite franchise-type player. He's Danny Granger-esque. Very very good, but not GREAT!

    pass

This is just how sportswriting works. Team names are often thrown around in potential trade scenarios even if the team has expressed no interest in acquiring a player, and taking on that player's contract is the very antithesis of what that team is all about. They just want the web hits, I'd give them a pass for being less familiar with the Rockets than we are.

lol at teams thinking they can swindle "Morey the swindler"

Morey saw good value in Asik and Lin...and so far they have exceed our expectations and playing at a level Morey hoped they would...The Harden deal was a gift, and over time, OKC will realize that they traded the wrong player(shouldve gotten rid of Westbrook)

Nothing wrong with Chandler at the 3. We need a big time 4, not another 3.

I for one think it would be fun to watch a line up and rotation of...

    Lin / Douglas
    Harden / Gay
    Gay / Parsons
    Parsons / D-Mo or Jones
    Asik / Smith

but I don't think that team is good enough to win a chip and lose our flexibility over. I think Morey can do better, plus as posters have stated Gay's contract is really high.

Agree. I could see something like this:

Houston out: Patterson, DMo, Delfino, Future 1st
    Houston in: Love

    Minny out: Love
    Minny in: Gay, Houston 1st

    Memphis out: Gay
    Memphis in: Patterson, DMo, Delfino

    Houston
    Lin / Douglas
    Harden / Beverly
    Parsons / Morris
    Love / Morris / T Jones
    Asik / Smith / Aldrich

Maybe Morey should get in on a Gay Cousins 3-way? Gay to Sacramento, Cousins to Houston and something goes to Memphis?

Truth be told, once we lost Head, I lost interest in getting Gay.

Love is overrated as well. Putting up numbers on losing teams the majority of his career.

At least Danny Granger averaged 29 ppg one year. Gay has never eclipsed 20ppg as far as I can recall.
