Just read that Fernandez is unhappy about Portland's interest in Turkoglu and may want a trade. This is a player that the Rockets had interest in during last year's draft and could fit nicely into the vacant SG slot (I consider Artest a goner). Any thoughts on what it would take to pry Fernandez away from the Blazers?
Rudy and Brooks would complement each other very well. But if the Blazers sign Hedo, then what does Houston have that Portland would want?
Depends what the asking price is. Although, it wouldn't hurt if he continues to pout and make a mess of things in Portland. That will only drive his value down.
We've been Rudy-less for much too long, even if you count the brief Rudy Gay moments. However, Rudy's acquisition probably will require a three-way trade. Perhaps Portland would consider a Brooks / Fernandez swap. Brooks goes back to the area where he starred in college, and Fernandez gets a hot, Spanish-speaking city. Portland gets a fast, shooting PG, and we get a cagey SG with range.
If you are giving away Brooks, you better make sure you have a deal in place for another PG or Portland better be giving up Bayless.
turkoglu will make blazers to another level and fernandez's minate will be limited... maybe try cash + 2nd pick for him. ^^
