The Blazers have lost Rudy - either they have totally lost confidence in him as evidenced by McMillian's decision to start Roy or Rudy feels like the Blazers have given up on him. So, I bet you that Rudy might be on the market. I know he's stunk it up in this series but the dude has got star potential. Martin is looking much better but if the Rox can get a good deal for him... say a 14th pick, Hill and Anderson. What do you think about trading for Rudy?
It's not really about starting. He wants to play in a system that suits him better. If Brooks is traded I think the Rockets have to take a look.
Roy is clearly better than Rudy. It was fitting that Roy started. I didn't know Rudy is going to Europe? Did he express his desire to go back to Euroleague? There are enough NBA teams that would give Rudy a starting job IMO.
Why? he's not a point guard. The only way he fits here is if Budinger and Battier get traded. He's a 3
This. I think Rudy would be a great member of Adelman's guard rotation, and it would be system in which he could play HIS style of basketball. While I agree that Hill may be retained for a Bosh S&T, I don't think that Morey would hesitate to trade him on draft night or this summer if it would help the team. Frankly, I'd actually rather see Hill packaged this summer to get a significant player than have him back next year.
Chase and Rudy are similar players, no reason to get Rudy unless we move chase in the offseason which I wouldn't be very happy with... But in Morey we trust.
In the least Rudy can be the 6th man and run with Lowry in the backcourt. Also, plays hard, good size for a 2 and can play some D.
