Royce White's NBDL Debut: Maine Red Claws @ Rio Grande Valley Vipers 2/12/2013

DMO will be the first to say welcome back. And yes, I am curious to see how 4 players who can put the ball on the floor play.

And yes, I am hopeful that is Harden that was at the receiving end of that first pass, Lin got the steal and the pass to Him, on that 2nd play, and Parsons bounce pass to a cutting Harden.

 

This will be the most highly anticipated d-league game since Antoine Walker LoL

 

d-league games are now streamed on youtube for free? i thought they been streaming free youtube games since the beginning of the season.

I plan on going to this game. Let's see how many minutes Royce gets to play? I should make it back to catch the Rockets game on NBAtv, I hope James is able to play tomorrow in that game.

 

I cannot possibly be more pumped.

 

Yeah, this is a big deal. Also, with all the headlines royce has made, other basketball fans will be tuning in too. Fun game to be at, rocketmetalsilentputtdeadly.... I'm jealous!

Wow, so Royce is finally doing what the Rockets have been paying him to do, ie- play basketball. I hope this works out, but his attitude so far gives me little hope. It is rather funny that he decided to meet them in the middle once he was suspended and quit getting paid.

 

Can anyone post any videos or info about how he's looking in practice?

Yup the games were already streamed for free in the beginning, even before Youtube it was just streamed through the main D-League website.

 

I hope he surprises me and is in shape. As much as he's ticked me off, Royce is still a Rocket, so I hope he does well. If the dude manages to make his way to the Rockets bench and has one good game, most of us will cut him some slack. If that's followed by a bad game, most of us will immediately scream and yell at him. I hope he's ready for that writ large on the NBA stage. Time to quit the crap and play basketball. Way past time. Show us what you've got, White, besides some far too busy Twitter fingers.

 

Royce needs to develop his shooting. If he can do that he'll be a much better player. If he never develops a respectable NBA jumper he'll be nothing more than a niche player and not the star he's billed as possibly being.

 

Royce is gonna be the missing link on this team...just watch. hes gonna beast

On the Vipers? I dunno, he'll have a hard time getting off the bench since they have Terrence Jones and Vernon Macklin already there eating up all the minutes.

 

Terrence Jones' toe disagrees.

 

I don't think that'll set him back too long, it'll take White longer to get back in shape than it will for that toe to heal.

 

I'm excited for this. Hopefully this can be the beginning of a long and healthy relationship between Royce White and the Rockets. Regardless of his issues, I like Royce's style of play and I wanna watch him in a Rockets uni.
