Hahahaha that is EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING! I can't wait to read the comments on this one...(I"ll probably have to contribute a few of my own )
Bad comparison. You can't compare college vs NBA. The stage. Do you know that the national Canadian newspapers dedicated their front pages to Jeremy Lin? Royce won't be able to dribble ever so slowly around like that in the NBA. I really like the guy but this is just unfair to do this to white and lin. If your going to compare college then compare college. Jeremy Lin knocking down an off-balance three at the end of TRIPLE OVERTIME to bury William & Mary. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DPxeasW8L1A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
But I think your missing on Jeremy Lin's killer instinct. Game winning shots are not the norm - its usually about dominating early, or throughout the game or pulling it out in the 4th quarter. Much of all basketball games are truly decided in the last 6 minutes. College Sample. If you watch the following highlight, you'll notice that Jeremy tallied 21 of his 30 total points at UConn with 1:37 remaining. He scored 9 points in 1:37 against #13 UConn (well, actually 11 in the final 1:38!). <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/QQ2mng5e95w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Love the killer instinct, game closer ability. Drive to compete.
Link to Jeremy Lin upside thread - I made a educational post for people new to Jeremy Lin that want a sample of links to get to know Lin. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=7063993&postcount=195
I prefer the ball going to the person with the best shot. Another tidbit fact for everyone: He was the only Division-I player in the nation to finish in the Top 10 in all major offensive and defensive categories.
Jeremy Lin. Despite what New Yorkers tell us about Lin's turnovers you take it with a grain of salt knowing he was in his rookie season practically. Turnovers will improve. Where as with White you are starting over with the same rookie growing pains.
Holy crap Royce White was a lot skinnier in that vid, probably could play 3 at that weight with faster quickness but I see Royce more as a 4 atm.
I know that Royce has more handles than the average player of his size, but this Royce at PG is kinda stupid. If people on here unanimously agree that he isn't quick enough to guard NBA 3's, HOW in the world would he stand a chance against NBA pg's?
