Royce needs to understand that just because you have a condition, it does not entitle you to everything you want (i.e. running away from triggers, refusing to see a new doctor, etc.). Joining the NBA means he was going to have to change the way he approached his treatment, that is obvious. He has made little to no progress behaving this way in the past, so why should he continue this method?

Morey just needs to admit he ####ed up and release White, so the team can move forward.

His twitter rampage seems driven by narcissism and OCD.

Ironically, if he wants to be a champion for mental illness, he should stop this and work on a solution, not excuses. Right now, he's torpedoing his cause. Become a valuable NBA player and contributing member of society, THEN you will be an example for others to follow.

If Royce White had Kobe-like talent and Lebron abilties, the Rockets will find a way to accommodate him with his illness. Iowa State accomodated him because he was the best player on the team. Brandon Marshall of the Chicago Bears has bipolar disorder and it hasn't kept him off the field because he's one of the top 10 receivers in the league and by far the best receiver on his team.

But the Rockets thought they could fix him with a bus and appointments with a doctor. His anxiety is not just about flying, it is about many things. Possibly including playing time. It really sounds like Royce White was given the impression that he was going to be an integral part of the team. I don't think it's just his ego talking.

In the end, I hope this is good for Royce. Perhaps this is one more obstacle he needs to overcome to be a better and stronger person.

The people who are antagonizing him over twitter are just bad people. If any of you are doing it, shame on you. I agree with everyone here that Royce is going about this absolutely the wrong way. But if you can't see that he has a real, serious condition then you haven't been paying attention. The belittling of it is embarrassing for fellow Rockets fans. It's really a sad situation, and most of you are being just as childish as Royce with your comments.

Easy on the PTSD talk...it may be more prevalent or associated with the military, but it's not only applicable to them.

We may not know the whole story there. Clearly Royce has some mental illnesses. The issue is, will he mature sooner, rather than later, so he can realize he needs to get a wider variety of help, so he can face his fears and get better?

It's one thing for random trolls on a BBS/twitter to antagonize/make fun of him, but the whole bit that 610 is doing about "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN??" (Royce White is "missing") is completely in bad taste and reflects very poorly on them. You're talking about a LARGE media organization basically goading/mocking a guy with a serious mental illness. I wouldn't be surprised if Josh Innes came up with the idea. Freaking loser.

I don't know if McHale told Royce that he'd be given 40 mins a night that he'd want to play basketball.

Guy just seems concerned about seeing his personal doctor instead of the doctor the Rockets want him to see.

i have to agree with you. Once i realized how far off the deep end Royce was, i stopped being angry and started being concerned. I can't stand the people who are actually tweeting him ignorant hateful things. that is some seriously bad karma.

    PTSD
    NPD
    OCD
    ADD
    GAD
Wich equals Dnp's Cd's wich affect his PPG, RPG and APG so in turn he get's PO'd and goes MIA correct?

Playtime is earned not granted. If the coaches cannot see White's performances, progresses, and work ethics, why would they risk to put him in? The team has been pretty accomodating as far as I can see. What else? Have Jeremy Lin the pastor-hopeful to go talk to White to psyche him up?

If guarantees of playing time and role on the team are part of what Royce needs, then there is no hope for him. Those things are simply not available to mid first round picks, and that's the way it should be.

I don't care to guess that this is the reason but I'm sure he's not blaming it on the Rockets.
