Man, in a way this is his fault. Going public on the internet with information always opens the door for mass criticism. I kind of feel for the guy honestly, but it's hard to be sympathetic towards him at the same time.

I mean, he did "ask" for it. I do disagree with the some of the tweets he's been getting, but man...when it get's to that point, it's up to him to prove people wrong. I mean, you're getting paid millions to do this.

It seems like the best cure for something like this is to face your fears. And make it a habit. That way you prove something to yourself and to those around you.

-Misinformation Royce?... Wow, you uncovered such a great scandal. The Rockets covered for you by saying you had a migrane when you really just decided not to show up.

What's next... JFK's assasin, Sasquach, Was Bush flying both planes from a remote control into the WTC?

-Public Awareness- Education.... what are people learning about this? That folks with mental illness' should never play in the NBA because of this very reason? Yeah you are proving something alright.

Oh yes...not enough opportunity...that's what training camp is for. Wait...who decided not to be there, despite getting paid?

I'm no Doctor, and I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but it seems like Royce is someone who likes to be in control of everything around him. I think his real fear is not being in control. When he steps on a plane, all control is out of his hands. Being a bit player on a NBA team is frustrating because at Iowa State he ran the entire show. In College when he was on the basketball floor, he had the ball in his hands and he made the decisions. Now he is being asked to be just one small part of something much larger, he is not the one making the decisions about how to play or even where to play. All the power and freedom he had at Iowa State has been taken away and I think he feels trapped, almost like someone who is claustrophobic being trapped in a small room.

At this point I think the best thing is for Royce and the Rockets to agree that Royce is not ready to play basketball, and that Royce and the Rockets work together in getting Royce healthy before resuming his basketball career.

Anyway, I still have hope that this can all be resolved.

News flash to Royce, there are idiots on the internet who can say whatever they want with no filter due to anonymity. Argueing with them won't change their mind.

Obviously there are people who are insensitive and unfair in their criticisms and expectations regarding his condition. That being said the Miami game was at home... Viper games almost certainly can be driven to every game. Showing up at training camp on time could have been done via driving.

Perhaps the Rocket's could do more to help Royce, but if he doesn't accept the help that is offered it is alot harder to feel sympathy for him complaining that they aren't doing enough. What is he doing to help the situation when he is holding out after signing his contract, and blaming everyone else for not conforming to his desires. Helping him deal with his mental issues does not mean giving in to his every request. You don't really want the guy with mental health issues designing his own course of therapy. His actions may bring attention to the mental health issues, but most of it isn't going to be positive attention the way he is handling things. Just see the comments on the ESPN article: http://espn.go.com/nba/conversations/_/id/8629651/royce-white-not-houston-rockets-team-support

A there we go... And the fines begin sooner than expected.

And it does have something to do with playing time as expected. Then Royce decides to turn this into something else entirely.

I honestly don't know why White feels like he hasn't been given a chance. He had the same chances as the rest of the rookies. Who's fault was it to miss the FIRST DAY of training camp???

Didn't show up for media day, part of training camp, games, or practice.

Of course they should just give you minutes out of the kindness of their heart.

Folks- $ has a curious way of uncovering peoples real motives. We will find out alot about Royce now after the latest fines. If all the sudden straightens up and complies, we will find out how serious he is about his humanitarian cruisade for mental illness

It's on McHale, not Morey. It's already been well established that McHale was the one who went out on a limb and insisted they pick Royce. DM and Les may have signed off on it, but McHale was the one behind the pick.

Poor jump shooter, can't finish under the basket against taller players, can pass the ball. Demands playing time

Rocketsjcf has said RW was Morey's choice as he was after a high risk, high reward pick.
