Josh Innes was asking royce about what he needed to play, Royce says protocol, Innes asked for specifics, Royce basically said don't ask me, ask the team.

Well at least he's transparent

Yeah, it's old news, most people here know.

That is pretty much how I see it. The guy is hurting and being self destructive, but why a continual stream of posts trashing him to an irrational and harsh degree.

I refresh the thread hoping for some movement and just another couple dozen posts trashing the guy as a worthless human being who they have no sympathy for.

What is Royce's status at the moment? Is he suspended indefinitely or taking a leave? What exactly are we waiting on?

With all this talk about Joyce possibly suing the Rockets, couldn't the Rockets sue Joyce, instead? It seems like Joyce is the one of the offense from the start and its been hurting the Rockets. Having an illness doesn't give anyone free reign to act like a spoiled little girl.

So far Joyce has cost the Rockets:
    - 16th pick
    - $$$
    - Possible bad image/PR

The assumption is he's going to the team Dr and collecting his check.

He's been assigned to the RGV but has failed to report for duty. Currently meeting with the team shrink.

To be fair, i believe they took the assignment off, so technically, he's not expected to be there right now. Looks like the team are just letting him ride it out until he's ready.

While this situation is far from ideal, luckily we don't need him right now. It was a calculated risk and this was one potential outcome with a certain amount of probability. We've had other high potential lottery picks on our team that were taken higher that have contributed little to nothing (e.g., Flynn, T-Will), so its not going to hurt us to wait around a bit longer to see what happens.

Looks like this will be a redshirt year for him, which is not a big deal as he is No. 5 1/2 in the power forward rotation.

I think we can all agree that the thread title, "White issues STATEMENT," is hilariously understated at this point in time.

He was counting his money while reading the tweet. When @MgsSmu asked him when will we see you play, I'm thinking it made him chuckle (lol) then shake his head.(SMH)

I believe he was thinking 'who needs to play to get paid? I'm an #AnxietyTrooper #Protocols #MentalIllness Tweet Tweet Tweet HA HA!’

Only thing Im wondering right now is what is the timeframe it would take for the Rockets to void his contract?

Reason being, going up to the trade deadline in February, they could very well need his roster spot to take on another player in trade from an opposing team. Im wondering if Morey/Les would opt to giving a hard deadline to Royce's camp for seeking to void his contract in time for the trade deadline, or if they would just stick it out and waive his contract(pay it) if a trade came down the pipe? Assuming that the paperwork, and litigation takes some time to get taken care of legally.

It also just wouldn't seem like the ethical thing to do for the Rockets to waive Machado if a trade came down the pipe, when Royce has been doing what he's been doing the past couple months, and still gets to stay with the team while others that have been working hard get cut.

If a trade comes down, the ethical thing to do has to be to let go of Royce one way or another to open up a roster spot. So why not send out a notice(warning) to Royce and his management that they will be seeking to void his contract on X day? That should get his attention pretty damn quick.
