Maybe he's smart enough to know that he'll never get in front of Patterson, Morris, or Jones and use this illness to find a new team.

Just saying, maybe Royce ought to look at the bigger Rockets picture and put his personal business on the back burner for a bit. Why pull all of this with the head coach away tending to his family? Just further proof Royce must be out of touch.

I'm wondering this myself. Anything in the CBA that accounts for this? I think a player whose contract has been voided should be banned from playing the league for at least two years.
