This reminds me of the Chapelle Show episode about the 'Black White Supremacist', and before he shows the bit, he says 'Some people accuse me of setting back black people fifty years with this bit. Well.. Sorry.'

Royce is single-handedly doing the equivalent of 'nuking them back to the stone age' when it comes to players with similar mental disorders.

Royce will be on another show the same day:

The only ones who look like fools are Royce White and people who are still defending him, like you.

Hahahaha....riiiiight...exactly like Lin. Comparing a hard working, no complaining NBA player trying his hardest to play in the NBA to a guy tweeting trash against his employer who has a RV parked and waiting for him to show up but will only show up for interviews to talk more trash....yep...could turn out to be the same.

The Rockets already look like fools for wasting a pick on this guy and the only fans that look like a fool are those like you. No GM, no matter what stupid deals or trades they have done in the past will want to join the lonely company of the Rockets right now. Not only will the team lose a roster spot and have to pay him for him to tweet away, but they get trashed for it. Unless Royce wants to do a 180, which I don't see happening, his NBA career is over.

Plus PPatt & Morris. Is it really that much worse than being inactive every single night?

Even Jeremy Lamb was sent to the D-League by the Thunder. The D-League at this point is hardly a demotion. If they sent a rotation player to the D-League, that would be a demotion.

Wait one second... Let's get one thing clear, the guy has talent, he has upside, but he is super raw. He really should have stayed in college one more year, but beyond that he can play at a level that could be considered to be "dominant" in time. He needs refinement, he needs practice, he needs to be NBA trained. Stuff like not showing up to practice, not showing up to D-League assignments, not listening to the coaching staff will all hurt him. The Rockets are not asking him to do all these things because they want to infuriate him, rather they are acting in his best interest toward pursuing a dominant NBA career. Royce doesn't believe the Rockets are acting in his best interest (for some dumbass reason he never explains). This is where the standoff is. This is why we don't just outright cut him or void his contract. The Rockets still believe this guy can be something. The thing is, going on OTL, going on HBO, being vague and shady will not help this guy succeed. It will only further the distance between him and the Rockets.

There are no specifics, he could just claim anxiety at any moment and get paid while not having to play/practice (what doctor is going to tell Royce he's wrong?)

He can say it would be a doctor's call, but it will be his call.

It seems that the doctor would be a neutral party that would have to be approved by both the Rockets organization and White. I doubt that a doctor approved by the team would go along with Royce faking anxiety.

The whole premise of being a doctor is being an advocate for your patient. That in itself proves how much of a conflict of interest this agreement would be. To understand White a doctor would have to spend time with him, he would have to make Royce feel as if he could trust him, he would listen to all the issues Royce has and he would eventually develop a relationship with him. There is no way possible for the doctor to be a 100% neutral party here. The idea in itself is just so heavily flawed.
