He said he grew up watching the Bulls....so i think he may have picked up some of Pippen's style, but he's obviously not as athletic.

Im still not sold on this guy yet. Yeah he makes the occasional nice pass but he seems to have just as many tipped passes then good passes not to mention tries to do too much sometimes and gets the TO, like that full court pass for example. And the pass in the replay above, any basketball player with any ounce of talent can make that pass. Esp when the player is 2 feet away.

The skill is there....we just have to wait and see how he deals with the length/height of real NBA talent.

Seeing a big guy pass like that, definitely reminds one of Magic.

Although Royce is in more like a Barkley body.
Or, as one of the announcers suggested, a Clarence Whetherspoon body.

Either way, Royce definitely can be something special.
    It'll be exciting to watch.

And your point...? Everyone does in the NBA. All the stars get away with it way worse than that play pretty much every game.

I belive OP is one smart cookie for creating a new moniker just for this post. ;)

He knew he would be flamed lol.

In all seriousness though he is a flashy passer, good scorer(not shooter), and a big Forward but the comparison ends there. There is only one Magic.

One thing I have learned while on this site is to never start a player comparison thread. Especially if it is a young player or rookie.

PS. we should make a Clutchfans Bible/Tips thread if it hasnt been created.

things like common mistakes to get flamed and stuff

When you had this thought you should have avoided making the thread.

He also reminds me of Magic....When he played at Michigan State!
Before he played any pro basketball.....

I hope he will remind me of Magic
when he played for the Fakers

He almost had a triple double in a summer league game...I'd be hard pressed not to compare him to Magic

Respectfully, I wonder how many of you actually saw Magic play for the "Showtime" Lakers.

Their games are very little alike beyond the fact that they can both get assists. In the most basic instance, Royce White weighs about 60 pounds more than Magic, and I have yet to see White bring the ball up the court against the other team's PG running a full court press.
