Royce should have stayed in college a bit longer.

I won't bash him for that. He was suspended and not getting paid. In his situation, I probably wouldn't work out either. (1) It's like working for free. (2) If he injured himself, that could make the whole thing worse.

Ironic then that capitalism is what allows his "profession" (professional basketball) exist at all and what feeds him and his family. If he's so opposed to it, then he can take himself out of the world economy instead of trying to shift the paradigm of the world through tweets and a 16 year-old's understanding of the world.

This is an incredibly dangerous and destructive mode of thinking Royce has crafted.

He is becoming the poster child for the current culture of the ignorant and naive sense of entitlement which has poisoned the world over the last few decades.

    But he is young.

Wait about ten years, maybe fifteen, and then put these articles back in front of him. He will cringe.

    If he is still alive.

I'm not so sure he said what you think he said. Sounds to me like he was blaming the social construct of America, and capitalism too, which to me is a very reasonable critique. I don't think he was directly blaming the individuals in the 2%.

I will respond to these people

    "That's life"
    with
"Life is what you make it"

And Royce has certainly made his life safer and happier with the Rockets these last few months. Good for him...

    this doesn't even make sense.

if anything the NBA is his volcano and he's choosing to live next to it. if he doesn't want to get burned move somewhere else.

I'll directly quote him for you one more time.

If that's not blaming the so-called 2%ers, then what is?

Old people have been saying that for 5000 years.

(About slaves, gays, racism, etc...) Ready to go D&D?

Nope... In the context of the article, he was clearly talking about social constructs, not wealthy individuals.

Well, that is your opinion on health. I'm talking about life.

That's just my opinion and I have plenty of reasons to back it up. If you don't agree with me, there's no reason to be rude.

He is what he is and you're right by saying that there are major flaws in his understanding of the world. I just tend to agree with some of his statements.

I won't try to delve deeper in this story because basketball forums certainly aren't the right place to talk about it. Maybe in D&D.

Hey! If you're going to send that crap down to D&D, at least include a can of Lysol.

Alright. This thread has been taken down to the level of the D&D at this point. I'm out.

But what I've gathered is this:

Capitalism, that vague and undefined term that some use to describe the USA of today, is what causes mental illness.

Mentall illness means any state of mind that is anything less than idyllic.

    The solution? Protocol everywhere.

You're right that I was too rude. But I still contend that such stuff is better suited for the Debate and Discussion section than the Game Action and Roster Moves section.

Personally, I could care less about what White has to say. My interest has dropped to zero. When he starts talking on an NBA court, even a D-League court, then I'll take notice. Until then, he can kiss my arse.

Darwinism is a harsh reality, that probably leads to mental health problems for nearly everyone.

Richard Dawkins often says that survival of the fittest is a fact of nature, but not the world he wants to live in.
    Then why don't you? ;)

As a Rocket fan, that is just a disaster to read. Worse than any of the mental health stuff.

And no one lets them wear glasses. But I suppose if we let them wear glasses, and they could hear the cries of the carrots, then the mental struggle with morality that came with eating self-aware produce could become a source of stress and lead to mental illness. So it's probably better that they have a "no glasses" #protocol so they can #bewell and just eat.
